She said such events are being watched both by domestic and foreign tourists. DOT has lined up under its WOW Mindanao Exposition 2007 several events with the theme "Hamiling Dalit: Interweaving Culture and Tourism in the Davao Region". Among the attractions are the 3rd Waling Cup Floral Competition on August 4 at SM City Davao where enthusiasts aside from lectures compete in a floral design to enhance the growing demand of fresh flowers in the country. The 2nd Mindanao Travel and Tour Expo (MTTE) on August 10 to 12 also at SM City Davao allows travel and tour operators to showcase their packages to buyers with participants coming from all over the country and some tour operators from neighboring sub region. The other equally exciting event is the Mindanao Food Congress, August 15 to 17 at Royal Mandaya Hotel where producers and buyers will again meet for a business matching as well as discuss points that need to be address to strengthen the production of food in the island.
