This is the current call and hot topic in Philippine Blogosphere. Because Malu Fernandez attitude is so unaccepted. Her statement in her column at People Asia Magazine is uncalled for. An elitist writer who is full of bigotry.
Poor OFW. Malu really so insensetive on her column and it's editor not doing his/her job. The article shouldnt be published. She compares OFW like a sardine. So sad that a fellow filipino can to this to fellow filipino workers working hard and doing a decent living and helping the economy of the Philippines but she has a brick heart and feels so elite that its alright to step the OFW. Please help Nick of Tingog.com proposal for the forced resignation of Malu Fernandez , a worthy apology from her, as well The Manila Standard Today and People Asia, and until this occurs, we should all move for a boycott on The Manila Standard Today as well as People Asia Magazine.
Lets keep this aflame until we achieve our goal to forced Malu Fernandez resignation. SHAME! SHAME! SHAME! Keep on fighting bigotry, intolerance, and any form of discrimination which leads to oppression. Because in the end, such an act of discrimination is in the league of sexism and even racism itself. I bet the negros didn’t find it all too funny when called hateful names such as the N word, neither should we stand for such discrimination when it comes to the social and economic classes we find today. In a year where we saw the firing of Don Imus for his racially charged comments, I think it is high time, we show the same fierce combativeness against our own homegrown discrimination.
